C& Partners Architects was retained to design for an aesthetic and implant dentist for his second location. He envisioned a soothing, pedagogical environment, offering his patients superior experience and oral health education—before and after the dental procedures.
To achieve the vision, the design turned the patient lounge and waiting area into a presentation space—fit for lectures and events during the after hours of the clinic. The seating was carefully selected to be versatile and transformable complete with removable backrests. The selection enabled for the chairs to be used for presentations and events, and ottomans and side tables for the waiting lounge.
The layout of the interior space, with connected rooms, maintains the essential function of the clinic as well as its educational purpose on the daily basis, yet it effectively offers the necessary privacy for the staff and patients functional at all time while still having enough privacies for the staff and patients alike.
Filled with natural light and benefiting from high ceiling, the sterilization and staff rooms, as well as the managerial office and reception, are all centralized surrounded by the operation rooms to maximize spatial efficiency. The preparation work together with the spatial quality helps to calm and educate the patients, so they don’t feel nervous about their procedures.
A custom-designed table in the waiting area incorporated a touch screen computer showing curated content, including 3D scan images of patient and simulation of the procedures.
